Walking, Hiking

The lodge is accessible by different routes
It can be reached over Sorebois, a blue marked alpine track which requires experience and caution. Please inform yourself in advance !
Take the Cable Car Zinal-Sorbois at half price if you stay overnight at the lodge! Please ask at the Tourist Office in Zinal to get the “Pass Anniviers Liberté”.

The lodge Petit-Mountet can be the start for diverse walks, as for example a walk to the mountain lodge Le grand Mountet, or to the lodges Arpittetaz and Tracuit. Also for the Hotel Weisshorn and the lodge Cabane Moiry. A beautiful tour from lodge to lodge is possible in the middle of the magic „Kaiserkrone“ !

Hike of the Anniviers huts

Some little walks for families are possible around the mountain lodge; an ideal introduction for walking in the mountains and stay over night in a mountain lodge !
The lake of Arpittetaz, the water chute near the bridge on the way to Arpittetaz, the Blueberry-way (Chemin des Myrtilles), the alp „La Lée“ along the Way of leaves (Chemin des feuilles), the mountain „le Roc de la Vache“ are lots of other possibilities.

Mountainbike

Access to the lodge is also possible using the Mountainbike. Uphill and downhill by taking the drivable route 4 of Val d`Anniviers. (More information)

Climbing

Climb to Pigne de la Lée, to the Aiguilles de la Lée and the Arpitettazspitze, Crossover to des Gardes de Bordon…
Plates of stone are existing near the lodge, for the reason that young and old can train climbing.

Mountain Race

The „Trail du Besso“ takes place Sept. 2nd 2023 and the trail passes by the lodge Petit Mountet.
An ideal body training doing this trail? Do this trail in 2 days and stay overnight in Petit Mountet. Benefit from our tiny rooms with Half Pension and showers. The Lodge is just located halfway of “Trail du Besso”. (More information)

Our paths ouround the lodge serve as ideal training for “The famous race Sierre-Zinal”.
To acclimatize at the hight and to get used to alpine tracks we recommend you to stay at us and to prevent from being overburdened with “Sierre-Zinal”! (More information)
